Can anyone tell me what noise this is that Jaws is making? What does it mean? This is in a Google Doc after recently updating to the newest stable Jaws(dropbox.com)

Sounds like Jaws is moving the focus around and causing the application you're using to make a sound.

I wonder if this is JAWS or google sheets making the sound as some apps do have sounds to assist. I know Office does this. Otherwise I have no idea. Perhaps email freedom

My first thought is that it could be a notification sound like if there is a link and you read all from cursor. You can define your own notifications and there's quite a lot of sounds to choose from. When does it occur? Navigating in sentences or lines or everytime?

It occurs only when navigating by line. Where can I access these settings? Sorry, not a Jaws expert at all lol

Don't know if it's still relevant, but there's a menu that opens if you press "Jaws-Key"+d. I'm using it in German so I'm not 100% sure what it would be called but I guess something like dictionary manager. There you find lists of languages and items that define how JAWS should pronounce or announce something. There is an "Add"-Button where you can add new definitions and also add sounds to them instead of having JAWS say something. Or you can even combine it. I only use it if an announcement is annoyingly long and replace it with something shorter.
Sounds are tricky however, because it's easy to forget what a certain sound stands for if you don't encounter it regularly
I hope that helps :).

I have never heard that one before. I have no idea what that is.
