Best apps/programs for email and calendar?(self.Blind)
submitted by tawayacct2020
My boss, who is fully blind, has asked me to look into some better solutions for his calendaring and email needs. What are the best programs to use on both PC/mac and iphone?
Everything would need to be compatible with his Gmail accounts and calendar.
Basically we are looking for:
1. email program to be used on PC/Mac along with JAWS and voiceover 2. calendar program to be used on PC/Mac along with JAWS and voiceover 3. email program to be used on iphone with voiceover 4. calendar program to be used on iphone with voiceover
Happy to clarify anything, and thanks for the help in advance.

Windows mail for Win 10 is basic but serviceable for home use. Outlook (the desktop version, not online) is far more feature-complete and perfectly accessible.
On iPhone the native mail and calendar apps are just fine.

Literally what I was going to post. Outlook is the best option on PC, and it's even decent on Mac, though the default mail and calendar apps are perfectly functional, as they are on iPhone.

The native stuff is pretty good in ios and mac.
What is he struggling with?

Is a long time visually impaired Gmail and Google calendar heels there my recommendation would be to just use Gmail and Google calendar in chrome and not use a desktop app. Gmail and Google calendar a fully accessible if he learns the keyboard shortcuts

u/retrolental_morose gave the best options, but Thunderbird is also a viable option on PC. It's not as polished as Outlook (You're going to be using the tab key a lot), but it also works. I'd first try Outlook though. It's less clunky.
