Best horror movies (self.Blind)
submitted by appollo2020
Me and my friend, who is also blind, are going to be doing a scary movie marathon. I’m trying to come up with a list of movies to watch, but, I can’t really think of any. I feel like most of the movies that I see that are scary are more based on gore or zombies… Neither of which I find scary especially because the gore is super visual.
Does anyone have any recommendations on horror movies that aren’t solely based on the gore factor and more psychological/just scary in general?
Thx

Felidae, Threads, The Mist, Barefoot Gen, and Come Play (which is being released on the 30th) would be my recommendations.

„ paranormal activity“. That was a movie, that I found pretty scary. Mostly, because it is about a danger, that nobody can see, and that is so much more powerful, then the characters in that movie. I found it scary, because it is not about some thing you can see, but something you don’t see. I don’t know though, if it can cause the same impression, if you don’t watch it on your own. For me, it work best, when watching it with headphones, in a quiet environment.
And you should watch specifically the first part. The sequels weren’t that good. But I really liked the first movie.

I watched Stonehearst Manor with my mom who is blind. She loved it! It is more of a psychological/plot-twist genre. Please let me know if you decide to add this to your list and if you liked it :)

Ahah I was a kid first time I saw it, and I remember felling super afraid through the night. Really glad that you loved it 😂
