Apple's FileVault is fully accessible even for full system encryption, as it records speech-synthesized messages to play during the boot process when there's no actual screen-reader available and you need to enter your credentials to decrypt everything.

How would you get it?

System preferences then security and privacy then file vault. I don't personally like it as if you get it wrong its a bitch but yeah. It works. I also haven't tried it on my new machine so that may have changed. But on my older computer I have laying around if I get the username / password wrong it beeps like a fucking bank machine or something. Works if you need it to, though.
