I really like my Apple watch. I use it for many things including checking the time, (of course), stopwatch, alarm, reminders, news stories and other notifications, checking the forecast, checking my heart rate, using the pedometer, recording voice memos, and answering phone calls once in a while. I've also tried out the compass and it works with Voiceover which is cool. I have the SE so do lack some of the features of the Series 6. Both are great options though!

I love using the fitness tracking features on mine. Being able to take phone calls and respond to texts without pulling out my phone is also a big bonus. There is a haptic time feature available, but I find it to be rather finicky. Fortunately, the text to speech is about a squillion times better than any cheap talking watch you can get. For me, the key difference is that, when my Apple Watch speaks the time, I don’t get the sudden urge to scoop my ears out. Do you need one? No, absolutely not, but if you like tracking your workouts and you like watches, then the Apple Watch is an excellent accessory.

Fitness tracking is the best. Tracking steps and stand hours. You can track heart rait and sleep. You can check your other stuff too but watches are good for being a fitness and health band. If you want to work out or get active it’s a great choice.

I’m going to be honest I don’t think I would spend as much as I did on my watch again. I love the accessibility with voiceover and the connectivity with my other Apple devices. Honestly if I were to buy another one I would probably buy one that was used or refurbished. I wouldn’t spend full price on another one. With that being said I have really enjoyed owning mine!

Same functionality you get for much less with smartwatches with WearOS that have speakers (often half the price or more) or Samsung smartwatches. Square or circular screens, elegant or sporty style, very light plastic body or premium steel but still under 250$ and every standard watch band strap matches from 16 to 22 mm depends on model and those Quick Release Straps easy to switch are available easily.
All of them have big text option and triple tap to magnify everywhere, you can adjust volume of screenreader independently to other sounds it works everywhere. You can pair smartwatch with bluetooth earbuds for privacy and listen offline music on the go not need to take your phone. Few of them are having LTE module it kills battery much faster than WIFI. Much better is pairing with smartphone trough bluetooth to do mobile payment NFC without taking your phone out, making and receiving phone calls notifications and messages, I use mine as emergency ID bracelet - one button after long press shows detailed info about my condition and health as text and voice guide and fires off Tasker profile on my phone that notifies my choose emergency contacts with map info time actual heart rate (measures it and sends updates every xx seconds) and sends updates of all of it untill I won't dismiss the emergency status on watch or phone.
Tells the time and appointments so I'm much less often late, voice search on my wrist- i can search for any info on internet, there are even full internet browsers and youtube unofficially but it's bit... awkard on such small screen it's doable but uncomfortable made by enthusiasts. You can even watch films on those if you want lol

I have never used one, but I hate talking watches. I am wearing a braille watch right now.

every blind person i've seen wearing one has been immediately hearable when I'm within 30 ft. I'm not saying some people don't use them quietly, but it's as bad as the rash of cheap talking watches ever was.
