Hi everyone, i am 2nd year university student who is researching into the safety of people with visual impairment, typically closer to being blind and using a stick , i have a few questions about it and was wondering if you guys could answer them. can the moderator of this forum message me privately to confirm that is okay?
if i can, the questions are
1- Name, age, gender
2- How long have you been blind?
3- removed as i feel it may be a bit insensitive I'm sorry
4- How do you manage to go out in public?
5- Do you feel safe when you’re in public?
6- Does someone or something normally aid or assist you?
7- Do you have a guide stick or dog?
8- Do you get public transport?
9- If you get public transport where and when do you know to get off?
10- What are some of your main concerns or fears when you go out in public?

3- Was it a gradual deterioration of your eyesight or something caused it like an accident. No.
4- How do you manage to go out in public. Using my mobility skills and my cane.
5- Do you feel safe when you’re in public. As safe as anyone in London.
6- Does someone or something normally aid or assist you? My cane and phone.
7- Do you have a guide stick or dog? I have a cane.
8- Do you get public transport? Yes.
9- If you get public transport where and when do you know to get off? The busses in London speak to you, telling you what stop you're arriving at next.
10- What are some of your main concerns or fears when you go out in public? I don't have any.
