What? I can't see very far at all.

My husband points stuff out to me all the time that I can't read. I'm still sighted with a lot of visual issues, so it took him a while to guess at what I can or can't make out regardless of distance.

I am sure he notices my struggles because I often have to slow down or take my time with something or ask him if there's a step etc.

I'm on this sub cause my daughter is legally blind, and I don't know what in my head decided that \*children\* couldn't see, but I took my kiddo and her (sighted) friend to the trampoline park one time and the other kid spotted a trash bin from clear across the room and that was when I realized that I forgot that most kids could see lol.

I’m still amazed when I see people reading a newspaper, book or magazine and I find myself wondering how they do it.

Oh sorry, just giving you a hard time I was like uh is this person writing english or greek or just wrote and didn’t check any of it. That’s understandable.

Yes, I'm a first time visitor to this subreddit, and I'm sorry to say I've been a bit ignorant.

I know logically most of my family and friends all need glasses or contacts... but I still forget that I'm "eagle eyes" for them.

It comes up for driving when I can read a street sign a block away and they can't or I have no problem threading a needle, getting out splinters, or trying hairstroke eye makeup. I literally forget they cant see what I can.

I have extra good fine motor skills, so people often hand me tiny fiddly things to fix... so I tend to assume it's that... not that they literally can't see to fix the thingy.

Not trying to brag, I definitly have plenty other problems in my life, like naughty teeth & trouble loosing weight... can't spell for crud, not possible keep a plant alive to save my life...

but I do have good eyesight, & it is a blessing.

I see. What are you doing here anyway haha! Most of us are blind or know blind people haha! That’s interesting.

I didn't "see" anything that said this was a closed group. lol

I do know some bring people, almost everyone does. I answered the question earnestly, isn't that the point?

The real question is why you came to comment on this thread 100 days later?

Because I could?
