Note Taking Apps (self.Blind)
submitted by cas0027
My father is legally blind and I've helped him over the years with using his iPhone. Our local resources recommended Meteor as a note-taking app (voice to text or keyboard) but he's accidentally deleted a folder full of notes for the third time. Luckily, I could restore his iPhone but am frustrated that this app doesn't have a trash can to restore deleted items. (Also just noticed it's no longer supported by the developer)

Are there any note apps that have worked well and allow for simple folder management? He's not super technical and we could always fall back on the native apple note app.

Any help is much appreciated!

try notebooks 10, it has good folder managing tools and you can use it as a simple notetaker if that's what you want. I think onenote does the same and is more notetaking focused. Notebooks has stuff that might be too much.

I've been using Drafts. Hard to tell if it's more of a power user app but when you open it you can start typing and when you close the app it saves it for you. Might be worth testing to see if it would work for him. Fully accessible.
