Touch sensitivity issue on iPhone 12 pro (self.Blind)
submitted by FiverNZen
Hi everyone!

I just upgraded from the iPhone 8 to the 12 pro and I’m absolutely loving it! It feels so good to hold and I really wish I didn’t have to put a case on it but my paranoia would probably get the best of me. Anyway, I am a voiceover user and I’m noticing that there are some touch sensitivity issues when performing multi finger gestures. For example, when I use two fingers to single or double tap, sometimes a swipe right or left will be performed instead. I’ve played with it a little bit and I am thinking that I have to use more pressure when performing multi finger gestures, or I have to use just the very tips of my fingers— Think near the finger nail.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this issue and maybe found a way to fix it. Also, do you think this might be a hardware or software problem? Thanks so much for reading!

Write to Apple Accessibility. In iOS 7.0, the touch screen was a tad sensitive for VoiceOver users, and Apple reduced it a little.

Thank you for your suggestion! It’s one I hadn’t thought of and I have just sent off an email to them. Hoping for a fix soon :-)
