Changing text selection colour on Word (Office 365)? (self.Blind)
submitted by TfsQuack
I have low vision and I've found that I prefer white text on black backgrounds. When I change the paper colour to black on OFFICE 365, the text selection colour still stays gray, except the gray only appears on the white text and does not change the black background to any degree that I can notice. Is there a way to change the text selection colour so that it sands out? I mean, a way to do it without changing the software's code, which is what most tutorials show when they aren't referring to in-text highlighting.

I don't think so, but you can send feedback from directly within Word. Have you tried changing the theme?

Yeah, I'm using a theme that's as close to a dark theme as possible. As for the page colour/highlight colour problem, the best solution I've come up with is to use a dark colour that simply isn't "true" black.

Maybe with Curtains (new and lighter version) or WindowsBlinds from Stradock? It's a reversible modification. With those programs you can switch any coolor/font and size type in Wibdows like it was on Windows 98 very customizeable but it works with new Windows 10 design: you can download skins created by others or modify your own in creator.
