Just wondering if anyone has an M1 powered MacBook and uses Google Docs?
I have a strange problem which I think has to be something silly with my setup. I just don’t know what.
I can create google documents fine in chrome and safari. Google docs under chrome is actually quite snappy too.
The problem however, is if I try to edit an existing document. I cannot interact with the document at all. The cursor apparently is moving around the document but nothing is being announced.
Can anyone else replicate this at LL? I have been in touch with GOogle Support but heard nothing back yet

Google Docs is shit with Mac. I can’t speak for Windows. It works pretty well on my iPad though. Sorry, no advice but yeah, doesn’t work great. I know there’s shortcuts that I can send you the link for, I haven’t had a need to check them out just yet

Do you have a m1 powered MacBook? Or you on intel?

Ah crap, didn’t mention it. I have an intel MacBook Air.

2questions. Have you taken this question to Applevis yet, and have you been able to try it on an Intel Mac running Big Sur to confirm it’s not the OS?

Don't have access to an intel model at the minute. Not gone there yet but it's on the list

If I had more experience with docs I would check for you on Intel, but I hate the layout of Docs and haven’t used it in years.

No worries. Some of the shortcuts are a pain on the mac for docs, as you have to do next key pass through.
Works like a charm on my windows laptop. Only problem being the rest of the software I am using is under macOS
