Yeah, r/deaf for example is more than twice as large. Are there any bigger forums or social media platforms outside of Reddit for visually impaired people? I primarily use Reddit, so I wouldn't know.

A couple of FB groups but so many damn trolls. I been side hustling these large org's like flightingblindness and trying to expand this community using them.

I think the issue also is that the blind community is also pretty large but almost all of it is heavily concentrated in the 55+ age crowd, and us younger people who have congenital / acquired blindness are too small (and too quiet...) of a group to make enough of a footprint. Out of the roughly 10+ million people in the US for example who are visually impaired, only 3 million are below 55, and I'd imagine an even smaller amount are below 40. That's a tiny, tiny minority.

Yeah, there’s some on facebook. What about vorail and dabble? Lots of drama if you get in to the blind community stuff and heavily involved but yeah. Most of these people are totally blind though. Blind pen pals by adrijana is pretty big most of them totally blind people. There’s a host of fb groups. Most of us are totally blind and it’s more of a social support thing though.

there's audiogames.net and applevis but that's about it, there's not a huge comunity for us but that doesn't bother me really.
