Visually Impaired Rock Climbing Project (self.Blind)
submitted by Alex__Scroll
Hello,

We are a team of nine students from Ontario who are on an FLL team. FLL is an organization that has a robot and project aspect. The project portion includes thinking up a project related to a theme. This year, the project is to make exercise and sports more accessible to a certain group of people. We decided to try to make rock climbing accessible for the visually impaired. If you have the time, We would like you to fill out the form regarding this project by clicking on the link below.

I sometimes climb DOWN rock faces, usually so as to go scrambling over rocks in a river at the bottom. Does that count?

OHMYGOSH.
I have retinitis pigmentosa and have been gradually losing my vision since about the same time I started rock climbing (am now legally blind 24yo female)

I’m legally blind, in Toronto, and I’ve done some indoor climbing in the past; very intrigued by this!
