Google docs issues (self.Blind)
submitted by ukifrit
So I’ve been using google docs a lot these days, and, despite it’s keyboard feedback which is kinda annoying, it is serving me quite well. I`m having a serious issue, though.
When someone shares a document with me, NVDA won’t read the menus and windows properly. Is anyone facing this? Is there any setting people need to tweak so NVDA will read properly?
I’ve tested and it only happens in shared documents. When I create a document I can access everything as I should be able to.

Try restarting nvda when the document is open

Are you certain yre in the same account?
Docs I make go into my work account but if I click a shared link I end up in my personal one for some reason.

Have you tried toggling screen-reader mode?

Is there perhaps a modal popup not being read somewhere, stealing keyboard, but not grabbing screenreader focus?

I've had this issue too. I'll have to make sure I end up in the right
account. toggling "Braille support" to on fixes a lot of feedback
issues, on Windows at least.

I’ll try doing what you said. Thanks
