Definitely call your local rehabilitation center to get some training. A CCTV can help with that, but they can be expensive. Check if the state helps to cover the cost.
What is the cause of her vision loss? She may also benefit from eccentric viewing training (but that may not be helpful if she has to read extensively).

You should contact your local commission for the visually impaired! They should be able to help. She might qualify for a CCVT.
