Do your research first, then come back here with specific questions. I expect that a couple days of internet browsing, a few meetings with blindness professionals and a few meetings with blind people should give you a good grounding.
I'm not trying to brush you off, but sighted people come here too often wanting us to give you an "intro to blindness" course, when you're the one writing the novel and should thus be capable of your own research.
I am happy to answer any of your questions and read drafts (as long as they're in English), but only once you have shown that you are dedicated to this by having done preliminary research so you're not wasting my time.
If I'm wrong and you have actually done some research, give me an idea of what you've learned.
