Double tap timeout on Google pixel five? (self.Blind)

I have a neurological disability and I am blind which means i use voiceovers double tap Time out adjustment feature.
This feature makes it so I can take slightly longer to complete a one finger double tap which is required to activate selected items when using talk back and voiceover
I am testing out a pixel five for work and I love the operating system
Without The double tap time out feature navigating around the system is quite cumbersome for me. Does anyone have a workaround or another way to activate a one finger double tap to select? Or am I missing a very RVS setting

There is a single tap feature you can enable for Talkback. That might work for you. Just go t settings, general, accessibility, talkback, and settings. You should be able to find it in the main settings of talkback.
