braillebookstore.com users, your credit cards may be stolen (self.Blind)
submitted by MakihikiMalahini-who
Just got a couple of emails indicating that the virtual card which I created solely for braillebookstore.com was used. Purchases were declined since it was a virtual card but it may go through with the primary cards, so watch out.

I think my debit card information may have been stolen from here too! I ordered a Braille letter for my boyfriend back in July and entered my debit card information and then 2 weeks ago I got a strange charge on my account and got a Chase fraud alert and had to shut down my debit card and get a new one. Lesson learned for me, I’ll be using PayPal from now on. BE CAREFUL!

That’s really unfortunate. Thanks for telling us I’ve never used them and now I’ll never ever use them. That’s really stupid especially serving the blind and then ripping them off

I don’t use this service but was wondering if you can email them and explain this to them?
siriuslylupin6 1 points 2y ago
I doubt they would care I kind of think they’re the ones doing it. Maybe a way to prosecute them would be better

Ah ok.

Yeah, who the fuck would even steal your card through the website after you payed a while later.

A crappy company.

Thanks for the heads up.
Just curious, what service did you use to create the card? I’ve heard a lot of advertisements for privacy.com, but have yet to check it out in terms of accessibility.

Using Capital One, which allows you to create virtual cards without an additional service and is quite accessible. I was actually going to close it soon but not so sure anymore.
