Was born with ROP from birth, right eye stage 5, repaired with some light perception, removed in 2010 from Kiacoma, left eye stage 4 partial retinal detachment, had 20/200 legal blindness up until about 2010 or so, had glaucoma surgery in 2013, now in 2020 have lost most of my sight from a damaged retina from glaucoma and also have a developing cataracts that is not repairable.
All this to say it ain't going to happen anytime soon, so learn to life with the blindness and learn blindness skills.

Even if retinal transplants eventually work in the future, amblyopia won't make it too feasible for ROP. I'm sorry.

ESight won’t help in this case as far as I understand.
