Need existing vision though, so useless to me.

I'm looking forward to trying them, if it helps some people it's good. It's designed for certain conditions specifically

And I'm looking forward to developing a device that actually helps blind people. Will be internet and GPS enabled with a video camera, will accept voice instructions, and the whole bit.

Most of what you see coming out in terms of this type of a product is a joke, if you ask me.

This does help blind people, just other blind people and not you.

1: This technology tends to be a precursor for tech accessible for fully blind people. You often need some sighted use to work out the kinks before it can be fully relied on with absolutely 0 sight.
2: Even IF it is fruitless for you in your position, you are *not* the only Visually Impaired person. It sucks that you get left out this iteration, sure, but if it’s letting other people access the world, that’s still a net positive.

I’m going to be honest with you I think most access technology is overpriced crap have you heard of a product called a Horus it seemed promising then the makers disappeared. I’d love to know more about what you’re working on.

Yeah, the one that really gets under my skin is Orcam at https://www.orcam.com/. Considering modern technology standards, it's an absolute piece of junk, and they charge like $3500 for it.

Mine will probably be around $500 if not less, and will provide a world of help to blind folks such as myself. Don't want to get into details just yet, but I'll get it done sometime in the future here.

This device should help out the VI part of the world, what’s wrong with that?
