That movie actually looks pretty interesting. I appreciate your description both from a blind person's perspective and a sound designer's. Your voice is clear enough to be heard without ducking the rest of the audio to the point of inaudibility as so many audio description providors do. Your expanded description highlights a glaring flaw in audio description though. it's so hard to balance between good description and letting dialogue happen. everyone hates when description talks over dialogue, but so often we miss things which are happening on screen while dialogue is happening. I really wish there was a way to do just what you did here and expand description. I'm not sure how it would work. Maybe some sort of audatory prompt can highlight when expansion is possible. Then the movie, or show pauses while that description plays. Since the descriptive track usually goes over everything else though I'm not sure how that would be implemented. It might also be more work than the average company would want to put in.

That's very interesting. I've actually always wanted to do audio description. Either for video game playthroughs, movies or TV. Heck the anime market has vertually ZERO audio description. I have both the voice, and the technical ability to edit audio. All I lack is enough useable vision to actually make a description script. Heck, I could even edit someones existing one to make it more engaging. It's just that first step of seeing enough of what's hapening on screen to get started.
