Hey! What would be an impossible or unlikely dream of yours? What would you like to do? I would like to be born in England or America to know English perfectly and to be able to watch a lot of described audio films. (self.Blind)

Go live by myself in the wilderness.

Your English seems pretty good.

Go on a drive ... I miss going on long drives to nowhere on my own blasting whatever music i want

Teach English overseas. Possibly adopt a kid (might not be able to)
paneulo 2 points 2y ago
I did the first. Planned on doing the second, but so far my own kids and life has made that less likely.
CosmicBunny97 1 points 2y ago
Ooh where did you teach and what was it like?
paneulo 1 points 2y ago
I taught at a school for the blind in Central America. No program involved. I just reached out directly. It was a lot of fun. A bit of a challenge since I needed to come up with my own lesson plans, since there was no set curriculum.

Wow, that sounds awesome!

Honestly my dreams are pretty simple. I want to make it as either a composer, voice actor or writer. And by make it, I mean feel fullfilled by it and make a decent living at it. Otherwise most of the rest of my life is pretty great.

I’d like to be a plummer or work on the waterways and rivers.

I'd like to wait for technology to improve a little more, to the point I can do Zoom calls from Mars, type of thing.

Then I want to travel to another earth like planet, but one where civilization and technology is begind, say like the ancient Roman days. I want to go there with all my cool gadgets, blow everyone's mind, then get treated like an absolute God for the rest of my life.

That would be cool. :)

I’d like to be on MTV’s “The Challenge” (used to be called Real World/Road Rules Challenge) not for the competition but the ability to gain fast friends, leave all your worries/family behind, work out with some people who know their stuff, and just play games to stay sane while followed by cameras 24/7.

ETA: But I’d definitely have someone else manage my social media presence during and after the episodes air. I would never get into a healthy headspace to deal with people telling me how terrible I am.

I wanted to play baseball and my vision prob kept me from it. :( I was able to play wiffle ball with people in the neighborhood, though, but they just couldn't pitch at their fastest or I'd never see it. lol.

I don't know what my current one would be. probably to meet the right woman and have a family, but that seems unlikely too. sigh.

Become a doctor. Drive exotic cars. Marry a beautiful wife

Would be cool to study Russian or eastern typology with the russians or a guy named Gulenko.first I would have to translate a lot of stuff or learn russian.

But it’s not possible because half of the practice is visual and focuses on nonverbal cues to determine stuff like body language and facial features. You would have to do visual identification which is a good bit of the course. In the proper russian form this is not neglectable, some depend on photo albums and you’d have to interview people and get good at video work. So meh.

practice MMA and participate in amateur tournaments. Join the army of my country, learn to drive and own my own car / motorcycle, fight a bear only armed with a bottle of boka and an Argentine mate.

I wanted to be a surgeon which was never possible due to juvenile glaucoma. Then I wanted to be a doctor which was possible but is no longer due to retinal detachment in my only good eye.

Now I don't know what to do.

This isn’t legal but you can watch a huge amount of films and shows at www.audiovault.net it’s completely free.

I've never been a goal-oriented person. My only goal in life before going blind was to develop skills to help others achieve their own objectives, and blindness was a huge set back, so my impossible dream is to regain sight and resume my old life.
DrillInstructorJan 1 points 2y ago
What sort of objectives would you like to help others achieve? There's all kinds of stuff you can do.
Fridux 1 points 2y ago
Mainly technical stuff: electronics and software. I can still do the latter, but not to a professional level in my opinion. Even when I had sight I never considered myself very good at it, so if I tried helping anyone now that I'm totally blind I'd consider myself a total fraud. I have since learned it might be due to impostor syndrome, as I only tend to compare myself to those whom I perceive to have more skill than I do, but I really can't shake off the feeling.
RatorLP 1 points 2y ago
For my dad it’s having a drivers license, and for me that would be visiting other planets.
thicccdragon 1 points 2y ago
Woah both of your parents are blind? And you have good vision? Sorry if I'm being rude
RatorLP 2 points 2y ago
Yep, both of them are, I have glasses but I can see very well without them too. No worries, asking if you‘re curious isn’t rude!
