Making music with Logic Pro: When I lost my sight, I never knew this was an option. Thought I’d share for others. (youtu.be)

Amazing! I've just started learning the keyboard and I am finding it quite hard tbh.

Hey! Thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Yeah learning the keyboard is difficult. I’m really not very good at it myself! I know how to make triads and that’s about it. Hoping I’ll get better eventually :) How long have you been playing for?
divgirlarb 1 points 2y ago
so, I've they keyboard back in August,2020, thinking I'd have so much free time as I was a fresh graduate. The only thing I've learnt is how to play marry had a little lamb, lol. I've bought an audio course for like $30, it's quite good to be honest but I just need to spend time on it.

Yeah for sure, just see it through :) I think it’s just one of those things that you pick up by messing around as well. ONce you have a few basic ideas down you can kind of noodle around enough to get by :)

Reaper is another daw that's nicely accessible when used with the OSARA extension
liamjh27 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
Yeah, I keep meaning to check it out. I really need to at some point soon.

I’ve gotten really interesting in music production, even with GarageBand, but I’m new to it all and would love a tutorial or something :P
liamjh27 [OP] 2 points 2y ago
Hey! I’m afraid I can’t help with GarageBand as I’ve never used it, but I know it’s pretty much Logics little brother. If you’re interested in learning a bit more, give me a PM and I can send you on to some resources and get you a link to the Logic WhatsApp group :)
CosmicBunny97 2 points 2y ago
That sounds awesome. I'm like, no where near professional, but what's the difference between Logic and Garageband if you know?
liamjh27 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
Oh don’t worry, neither am I!
Basically Logic is just a mega upgraded Garageband.
This link does a better job of explaining it than me.

But please let me know if I can help you at all! :)

https://logic.band/
Apparently has some really good tutorials
liamjh27 [OP] 2 points 2y ago
Yeah it does! It’s actually how I ended up getting into it. Plus Steve is a great dude!

I use Audacity a bit but only to do basic recording. I let other people do the mixing!
liamjh27 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
What kind of stuff do you make with it?
DrillInstructorJan 1 points 2y ago
I make most of my living as a session and theatre bass player, very occasionally lead and once or twice a year on keyboard. So recently I've mainly just been recording stuff as a work at home approach, just record it, save it out as a wave file and upload it somewhere. It's not really making anything with it. The more creative input comes with processing because pretty much all commercial guitar work is recorded with some sort of processing these days, so I spend a lot of time fiddling around with an axe fx guitar processor. It's about the least accessible thing in the world but I've been using it for years so you learn your way around it.

What sort of things do you get up to?

I’m not into music making so only checked out a bit of the video, well done for making it.

A suggestion would be mixing your audio, if you can, so that your voice is over the audio nicely.

I know it’s like that already but it could be a bit clearer? It’s a bit late so sorry if this doesn’t make much sense.
liamjh27 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
Thanks for checking it out! :)
And thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, it’s something I’m deffo going to try sort it out going forward. It’s in the description cause I know it’s a bit rubbish. Hoping someone might be able to help me figure out how to separate the audio tracks cause at the moment all I have is a loop back device that takes the feed from Logic, voiceover and my iPhone mic but I haven’t got a way to change the volumes or anything.
Now that I think I’m going to look at YouTube a bit more seriously it’s something I’m deffo going to address. Firstly going to get a proper microphone rather than the iPhone :)
