I think it is important to know that struggling emotionally is extremely common. Knowingwhat resources are available in your region helps too. If you are able, learning basic screen reader or magnification computer software helps a lot. Some find this controversial, but learning Braille ahead of time can also be beneficial.

I actually am learning braille! I haven’t progressed that much but I know it will help me in the future. I also have an upcoming appointment for orientation and mobility training, but it’s so hard to stay positive through this. I’m staying proactive and prepared.
