I need to know how to reproduce as many facial expressions as possible.(self.Blind)
submitted by Nefilimul
I want to know what facial expressions are associated with different feelings to use in conversations with my sighted friends or visually impaired people. Thanks.

Apparently I usually don’t have a facial expression most of the time I don’t really care, if you want to talk to me you will or you won’t. I assume not having a facial expression or not making facial expressions is offputting to some people. You shouldn't stress about facial movements. I am asuming your blind from birth? I don’t really understand this want to be looked at as normal to the general population, we’re blind and that’s how it is. When people say oh man you don’t look blind or some such I am like what’s blind supposed to look like? That goes along the same lines as someone saying oh you don’t look autistic too. My point is that everyone has odities and you should just roll with what you got. Maybe I am an asshole though who doesn’t care what people think or say. The older I get the less I want to deal with peoples garbage and want people to leave me alone. I had my eyes removed 4 years ago and if my cane is not visible or I am sitting down I apparently don’t look blind which is slightly annoying to me because people will be talking to me for two minutes and in the middle I get do you see that over there or some such. Even with the cane out people still don’t pay attention anyway. I would rather have my blindness out in the open rather than try and cloak it in supposed normality. Nothing or no one in this world is normal, what is normal defined as anyway? This is all coming from a blind from birth guy so take what I say with a grain of salt. I am sure peoples care for normal is on a spectrom and I am just an uncaring fuck. thanks for reading.

Trust me, it's not gonna work out. Don't worry about stuff like this. Expressions are supposed to be natural. It's not something you memorize. You're likely doing alot of expressions already
Atleast this is my take

I agree.

I think I can agree seems like too much work to memorize and do it would seem really awkward.
Oh I am surprised okay now raise eyebrows. Then say something.
Oh I am shocked do x expression.
Etc... sounds really amusing honestly.

Well, you smile when you’re happy, but I think that’s obvious. Sometimes people tilt their heads when they’re thinking about something or listening very hard. I don’t look at peoples faces when I talk to them, so I couldn’t tell you expressions, but I can give gestures like that if that’s what you’re looking for...

Raise eyebrows to show surprise Furrow or lower brows to frown Half one side smile to show uncertainty Nodding occasionally when someone is talking shows you’re listening as does facing the person
