We are group of three college students creating a documentary and website on disability culture. Our documentary and website will aim to explore the depths of disability culture. Looking at the community found through having a disability, proper versus improper terminology, representation within media, as well as personal stories.
We are aiming to give individuals a platform to express their views and personal stories in regards to this topic and are happy to work with you to make sure your story is told in a fair and accurate manner.
We are looking to conduct interviews via zoom or any other preferred video based online chat platform. Participants would need to consent to being recorded, which will then be used in our video and website. Whether you have a disability, a family member, or your work with those with disabilities we would love to hear your story!

We look forward to hearing from you!

Do you want to tell people what country you are from? What educational institution you study at. What is your privacy policy? What similar projects have you or your institution done before?

Can you state what college/university you are affiliated with, what level of faculty involvement/support you have with the project, and any grant funding relating to this?

This is our final project for our senior seminar. We are all seniors At Saint Michael’s College in Colchester Vermont studying media, journalism, and digital arts. There is no grant funding but we have faculty members overseeing us. In terms of disability culture, it’s really about how a person/individual who is disabled lives their daily life and how experiences can affect how they are in the world. Especially media experiences such as stigmas and tags. To get even more information or express interests or concerns contact us at Disabilityculturedoc@gmail.com

Are you still looking I’ve done a lot of work in this area are you still interested? I am quite more than willing to do it. I have a very full life and a very fascinating story I’ve been on papers before for my sheer will and who I am. I stick out a bit as a blind person so if you’re interested let me know.
