Can anyone with a 4th gen Amazon Echo Dot give me a tour of the buttons?(self.Blind)
submitted by Seedy_CD
Hi,
I got a 4th gen Amazon Echo Dot yesterday. Though the device is set up and working, my mum was in charge of some of the setup process and I was never given a full rundown of the buttons. "There's a volume button on the top" was the only description I got. Since this is a relatively new device to me, I'm scared to just go pressing buttons in case I mess something up. I failed to find anything helpful on the web. So, would anyone be willing to give me a full button tour of the device?
Thanks.

With the plug facing away from you, the closest button to you is the “Mute Microphone” button. To your left is the volume down, and to the right is the volume up button (these are shaped like a minus and plus respectively). At the back (closest to the plug) is a generic “Action Button” for turning off your timer and doing other stuff that d pends on what your echo is actually doing at that point.

If you want to change volume, you can also say Alexa, volume (number between 1 & 10)

Have you heard of the app 'be my eyes'? It's made for these kind of situations.
(Not saying you shouldn't ask here, just trying to make life easier for you)

I've only ever used it Twice in the 6 years I've been registered. I'm not one for any kind of video calling.
