Currently it has a fairly good narrator. He is kind of loud though and doesn't have his own volume setting. So whatever your pc volume is, he is. It reads off every item in your inventory, chests, even tells you if you open a chest or something. However you for sure have to be able to see a little to play. If you can see color, and maybe blobs like I can, then you can play. It's better to play in peaceful unless you have friends on with you though. It's easy to get lost.

There are some cheats you can use so they can teleport to you, you keep your inventory. I never play alone anymore. I do miss that. But they are for sure trying to make it accessable.

1.16 is a great update.

Edit to add some things. My friends put a wall around my "property" so I can't wonder off as easy. Since I can see color, I can tell there is motion, that helps with fighting. I got some good headphones and the sounds give away quite a bit of information. Like what it is, where. It's kind of cool. But I try to never play alone. It's easy to get stuck or swarmed. Its basically not accessible unless your fine with shooting arrows at enemies or starting fires, or digging straight down. Everything else that is significant to the overall games experience requires help so much to the point I gave up trying. It was fun shooting gasts in the nether, though, as the sounds are somewhat in stereo. I haven't played in years though so things may have changed, but its really only fun if you have a friend whos willing to help you out and maybe like do most of the work.
