So I live in the mountains in the west and we’ve had snow falls often since I lost my eyesight seven years now, but this storm is totally different. I have asked people in the past about navigating a sidewalk with a white cane with 6 to 12 inches of snow. I’ve been trying and have some ideas but for the sake of learning does anyone from the cold parts of our planet have any suggestions or tips for using a white cane in the snow? Thanks

I believe ambutech makes a special tip designed for gliding over snow and sand. Unfortunately I don’t know much else since I don’t live in a snowy climate

It’s called the Dakota Disc. It slides on top of the snow but doesn’t help if the curb/landmark is buried in snow.

We had some snow in Poland this year, but it's always a struggle. Sometimes I used two hands at the same time, because the snow was too heavy and I tried to apply pressure downwards to feel the ground.

Snow sucks like an open airlock. I live in the UK where there isn't that much snow but when it happens it's horrible. If you figure it out please tell me.
