Allegedly, yes. If one were to have done peyote and magic mushrooms while totally without sight e.g. Not even light perception, having lost one's sight 16yrs ago, one might experience more of a body sensation and an amplification of tactile feedback. Also, one might assume that sounds and scents would be intensified. Of course, this is all speculation on the writer's part.
