Masturbate, it doesn’t require any vision and can keep you entertained for a long time

Right now five days a week I work all day when I can get any work, but that's a virus problem rather than a blindness problem. Usually I'd work most weekdays. I'm a session musician and one of three co-directors of an agency for musicians which eats up a lot of time in admin and emails and phone calls, the usual stuff. I live near a big city and I'd normally spend quite a bit of time travelling in and out. Again not happening because virus, but that's just normal commuting.

For fun, all kinds of stuff. As regards movies and TV there's audio description, books you can get audio books. I don't often do either of those things but I have done. There's chatting with people on the internet just like we are doing now. I try to go running at least every other day. Usually I'd go to the gym a few times a week but it's closed for the virus now. I really like cooking (I have some flapjacks in the oven as I type!) which of course works against the whole gym thing but there we go. And normally I'd go out and see buddies and stuff but again virus so here I am typing to you.

So basically don't ask me to play a game of tennis with you but other than that normal sort of stuff. Are you asking because your mom is getting bored?

I would like to add the most game shows are easy to follow even if you can't see the screen. Some of them may have more visual components, but I find most of them generally easy to follow.

Those of us who can't see at all may enjoy audiogames, 3d-sound rather than images.
TV, movies, theatre - that's all doable. Some things are audio-described, with some extra narration to fill in the gaps in pictures.
I work in the week, I have a kid and we play board games, watch movies, read books together, walk and play ball and sledge in the snow and, pre-covid, go to amusement parks and movie theatres and all-sorts of stuff. Blindness doesn't stop me having a great life.

I work on personal programming projects, which was also my main hobby and profession before going totally blind. It entertains me so much that I end up forgetting to eat and sleep. Also, sometimes when I'm feeling like resting a bit because I've just reached a milestone (like now) I come over here, reply to some posts, and go back to my projects.

Listen to music, go on Reddit, transcribe lyrics on Genius, watch way too much YouTube, talk with my friends over zoom or Facebook messanger, sleeping, writing sometimes, reading things like fanfiction and other random stories I find on the internet

Lots of things lots and lots these days I have really been in to typology like r/socionics r/mbti r/attitudenalpsyche r/enneagram type stuff. I read a bunch I have a huge library of about 1000 to 1100 books in it. Or I do the research online. Think hermione. If you read Hp.

I like also tinkering with tech and audio equipment.

I like traveling the city and going places and trying new food. I love food. I love walking along and enjoying the pier.

I like running a youtube channel but see first thing it’s typology and writing a typology blog. Or will get to it. I like talking to people and social media. So yeah..... what else I like intellectual discussions.

Blind people can watch tv. And they can play audio games some blind people actually play regular video games and such.

I am totally blind too and have been for most of my life lost my very unusable and very limited vision at 8. But I am very capable as a person.

Also I just don’t play games and like tv. But it’s not blindness it’s just me. To serious haha!

Hi :)

no that's not rude, it's fine.

For fun I talk to friends, catch up with friends, read, watch movies with Mum who describes them, we go out somewhere for food, coffee, a movie etc, or to enjoy nature.

First, please do research before asking people on reddit. Video games are easy. There are many games we can play using the X-box and now the PS5. The last of us 2 is the world's first fully accessible 3D game and we can also play all the streetfighter and other tournament style fighting games. We can play Forza Motorsports 7 because it has driving assists and we can use OCR with screenreaders. Hulu and netflix are fully accessible and they both have some audio-described content. We also have multi-user dungeons which are text-based games with soundpacks and other audio games. Simple.

What do you do for fun? It’s probably similar. Blind people are just like anyone else
AnElusiveDreamer 1 points 2y ago
Books, TV, writing, listening to music, singing, and generally hanging out on the internet.

Also, I’m in grad school so that takes up quite a bit of time.
