That is going to be dependent on the province you are in. In all likelihood, you are actually being referred to Vision Loss Rehab Canada (VLRC), which is the rehabilitation part of CNIB now (there was a split about 2-3 years ago where ILS, O&M and LVS services were integrated into the provincial health care systems).
Generally speaking, after a doctor sends a referral, an intake worker would give you a call to find out more about your needs. After that, the referrals are made to Independent Living Skills Specialist (ILS), an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (O&M) or Low Vision Services (LVS). Those specialists will call you to find out more about what your needs are and what they can do to assist.
Depending on region and province, the initial visits may be virtual or in-person.
Transit passes will also be dependent on what the eye report says and your province. Some places provide the pass for free, some places charge a fee.

If you have the chance, try to get into the Pacific Training Center for the Blind in Victoria BC, even if you don't live there, you can get on the in home student waiting list. CNIB is good for getting you on your feet, but programs like PTCB that use structured discovery and have experienced blind instructors are far more effective longterm for independents.
They are the only program like that in Canada... The U.S has several, and they are a bit ragtag and underfunded, but given how Canada treats it's disabled in terms of attitude, it's a once in a life time opportunity.

Thank you, but I don’t think it’s for me, I’m only considered legally blind/ low vision and that sounds more geared towards those that have less sight then that.
