Anyone don’t like the vr method, not a plan person?(self.Blind)

Going through that again if I was to be honest makes me anxious. I am thinking of a change in career choice I’ve been in school for 10 years. But haven’t had absolute certainty of what i wanted to do. Anything academic is not my thing. So I am thinking of teaching assistive tech. I am very techy and technical and I think teaching isn’t a bad idea. But the issue is Vr wants a plan.
I am absolutely horrible at planning I can make up a number of years I want to study for but don’t know it could change if I feel like I can’t keep up ideally want to take 2 classes at most. Also if I find some classes are easier and some are harder to go together then I could do that. Also a plan for classes and how to go about them isn’t a strong point of mine need to sit down and draw that out with someone otherwise I don’t know and don’t. Do it..
With rehab though changing it later is not always wanted and then you need a plan change. And more hassle. Working with vr just seems like a hassle but I also don’t have the dough to pay for tuition. I could probably buy my own equipment and I prefer that but tuition will be a struggle and I want to study out of state because there’s only one school who will train you on assistive tech for the blind, some place in michigan. But also planning for the future isn’t really my strong suit either. The uncertainty kind of gets me......
I am thinking of working for a while then get the hours in then get certified.... I don’t know......

Why not reach put to people that teach assistive tech and find out what career path they took before trying to plan anything out?

Hmmm... interesting what do you mean? I would think the answer would be assistive tech.

University of Massachusetts Boston has a CATIS program which is the certified assistive technology instructor program. You can either get a masters degree or certificate https://globalinclusion.umb.edu/academics/graduate-programs/vision-studies-med#5-vision-studies-med

It seems that at least some of the coursework at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo will be offered online. It may be worth checking out further.
