Hey Community,

I am a Webdesigner and I am looking for some good guides on how to make web applications and webpages accessible to visually impaired people.

Do you guys have any good resources?

Make sure all of the website graphics have alt descriptions, make all link text descriptive, no ""Click Here"links, and such.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines is all you need to look at. In addition to the guidelines themselves, make sure to check out the additional documentation covering how to implement the guidelines.

Thanks :)
I just had a look to the guide.

Do you know something with more hands on descriptions?

For example in the guide the write about adding audio descriptions to videos.
but how do i have to add this to the website? As normal audio file? Or is there somthing like the alt="" / aria-label="" tag for audio descriptions?

Under guideline 1.2.5, click on the "how to" link, and on the subsequent page, click on the "show techniques and failures" link. You should eventually reach this page: https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/Techniques/general/G78.html Such comprehensive resources exist for all the WCAG guidelines, so I encourage you to explore the supplementary documents thoroughly.
