What do you use try either talkgback on android or voice over on iphone you will need to learn how to use it but it’s good. Try nvda on the computer.

I suggest rehab training. You are probably looking for a screen reader . It'll read the text on a device as you navigate on it. The dictation function will auto-type the text for you when you activate it.

I am having trouble understanding how this would be useful during times when your vision is especially worse. Wouldn’t it be more helpful to convert text into audio (screen reader) so you don’t have to struggle with the poor vision?

Voiceover on Apple products is pretty good, and I think android has a similar function though I’m not familiar with it. There are other options on laptops/other computers and Google Chrome has a pretty slick extension if you only need a screen reader sometimes but not always.
