White Cane tips (self.Blind)
submitted by crazyband111
I just got a White Cane, and I have a question about the tips. I don’t have much strength in my arms and I was wondering if anyone has some tips or things they’ve figured out when it comes to changing the cane tip.

A possible recommendation would be the slip on style tips, ambutech offers canes built specifically for this type of tip, although I have 0 experience with them so I can't comment on whether or not much strength is required to change these

Also a hook tip.

You shouldn't need to change tips more than once a year or so unless you use your cane a hell of a lot. If it's more frequent than that, something is wrong.

Next time you buy a cane, choose tips that connect a different way. Ambutech sells tips which connect in various ways, many of which do not require muscle strength.

Most of them are really tight so it mey be hard. Maybe you can use a grip or some device or something.
