I have a much stronger belief that science will bring my vision back before nice words ever will

I'm sorry, but I find this post quite tastless and disrespectful.

You do realize there's real people with real problems here, right? Some of them are struggling with just recently going blind, while they try to figure out how to navigate this life and world in the dark, which isn't easy.

Then you come in and say we just need to pray a little harder, and the blindness will disappear? Really?

This mind set just doesn’t help anything and as a christian makes us all look bad and like idiots.

So, what am I supposed to make of this?
Winnmark 2 points 2y ago
Oh... Oh this is going to get downvoted to hell and back.

Can't wait to see people lose their minds. Well, maybe, since it seems the article doubts the documentation, people won't.

Here, take my upvote. I feel bad for you, OP.

It doesn’t work like that. You can’t just pray blindness away. Sorry. Yes, jesus has the power of healing and he did heal that lame guy but it really just doesn’t simply work like that!!!!!! I had one guy who prayed over me then he asked me okay has your vision changed? Uh no. Even if it’s praying every single day. Most times it doesn’t change. Sure sometimes maybe but honestly usually no. And faith healers are usually fake and the people who goes to them are usually not real. My pastor’s wife actually had a blind father. So they went to one. I guess the father believed in the guy? This was years ago. Not sure why but he did. So he and the pastor’s wife who was a child went to one. They went and stood in line. A lot of these people were pretending to be blind and just being a fan of this guy or rather treating it like a game. There was this actual blind guy. Some guy actually came to check up on the people. Upon discovering that this guy was really blind they said hang on come with us we need to do something first or things differently. They were lead away from the line and lead to a room to sit down and wait.. just to be abandoned there and never to be seen by this heler. So they. Left. I guess the dad and the daughter was really disappointed. But yeah......

So be wearyh. Stuff like this actually doesn’t happen this way.

Blindness isn’t a curse or a sin or whatever you may be thinking.

I think for some of us that’s just what we were given and there’s a purpose to it.. what is it the people with the most afllictions can draw nearer to God or understand him more or have more grace or something like that.

While I agree with you, are you an expert on God? The article doesn't site any evidence that this is false. Maybe that was part of God's plan. It could be fake, but it might not be.

I have a pet purple flying dragon that sports a green mohawk, wears a pair of Nike shoes, and can dance the waltz in perfect form. He loves to eat bacon and eggs, and attaches a feathered brush to his tail to dust the top wall corners while flying.

You can't prove that statement is false, so I guess it must be true.
Winnmark 1 points 2y ago
But do you have historical evidence for it?

I know my apologetics pretty well.

I personally doubt it’s validity. And I should be allowed an opinion
