I recently became friends with a blind woman who is elderly. She's lovely, but I want to learn more to have fun with her. She said one time that she liked how a woman gave her a leaf to touch, while we were out on a walk. The textile experience made it better. I try to describe things to her, but I'd love to learn more. She is completely blind, by the way, and has been for 30 years. Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated.

She's been blind for 30 years, so just ask her, "what do you like to do for fun?" and do that. :)

Why are you asking us? Just ask her. She's just as human as any of us lol. She's also been blind for longer than I've been alive so she'll have a good amount of experience more than I do despite me being born blind lol. Your good man.

You can get a braille set of uno cards and other games, one of our favourite things to do at school in our disability building (I don't know what else to call it!) with the blind girl at lunch. It is just a normal looking pack of uno cards with the number and colour in the top left corner. I know that not all blind people use or learn braille anymore but i'm guessing if she's older she will have.
