What are some of your favorite iOS accessible apps?

My two most used apps. Lire for reading website feeds. Voice dream reader for reading books from book share.
Dystopia for using Reddit. Wahoo fitness for tracking treadmill runs. Apple fitness for tracking core, rowing, hiit and treadmill runs. Freetrade and trading 212 for my stock trading. M onzo for my banking

Seconding VoiceDream Reader—it’s an amazing app!

Any tips for getting around Trading212? I could never get used to the layout and that's why I didn't end up using their platform for investing.

For searching and buying stocks works well. Once you search the ticker and tap the stock buy button is near the top.
Often they use over lays for options. So if you tap something and nothing happens, touch around the bottom of the screen. You will then focus on the new element.
Happy to talk you through specific features if you like

hmm, twitterrific for twitter, whatsapp / iMessages / telegram, pocket by mozilla for saving articles, duolingo for learning languages, audible for books, google news, youtube and youtube music, seeing AI and invision AI, firefox (my browser), lockwise password manager, these are i think most frequently used apps :D at least i can think of from top

I use Pocket a lot too, but it does have some major a11y headaches. I actually spoke with people from Mozilla after they were bought and not too much progress on that front since.
fawazar941 points2y ago
True, but it is at least usable. mainly have to be careful not to go to the more actions menu from the article :D
Amonwilde1 points2y ago
Yeah that's a one way trip. I can also only get out of the listen menu with some weird hijinks, it's usually not worth it.

I use Nearby Explorer for realtime navigation, Microsoft Soundscape for mapping things out before hand, Seeing AI for reading small things like labels, Voice Dream Scanner for larger documents, Aira for more complex things that OCR can't handle, Bespecular for when I've run out of free Aira time, TapTap See for identifying pictures, NLS BARD Mobile for free Audiobooks, NFB Newsline for free Audio Magazines, Dystopia for Reddit, and several accessible games, mostly the Choice of games library as of late.

I’m making an accessible app with a few friends that allows people who can see to place 3D audio in the world to guide blind people, if that’s something you’d like to try, I can send a link in a few days :)

There are two apps that I am using right now that I find very helpful. The first one is called Supersense. It is a Seeing AI type of app. The second app is made by the same company. It is called Super Lidar. as far as the Lidar function goes, there are some things seeing AI does better and there are some things Super Lidar does better.

Facebook, dystopia, ibooks, kindle, messenger, messages, skype, yelp but it’s a bit weird on accessibility, fitness, clock I use bedtime lately I use it badly, swarm, achievment, sweat coin, I use to have a lot more but I didn’t use them regularly.
