Glass eyes (self.Blind)
submitted by Criptedinyourcloset
Hey guys, I am blind and both of my eyes needed to be removed so I have glass eyes. Anyone know some good party tricks or things I can do with them? I’m looking to have a little bit of fun with my friends next Friday. They Pranked me last so I’m gonna prank them. If it matters, all of them are cited.

I fully support this. I have a glass eye and have pranked people who didn't know. Not sure how to prank people who do know. Tapping a glass eye really freaks people out. I enjoy doing it to strangers who tell me to watch where I'm going.

The thing is, they don’t know. This is how I’m going to tell them.

Tap it with a fork.

I’ve taken mine out and hit it in food I’m eating and then freak out that there’s eyeball eyeball in my food. You have to be careful though

I know a little girl who pops hers out and rolls em around. Pre covid mind you

Do you have those little suction cup things to remove them? Pop them on your eyes, my dad used to do that when we were little to freak us out.

One time he stuck a little sticker in the shape of a heart on an old one he didn't use any more. Cute idea, but it was quite irritating to the eyelid so he couldn't keep it in like that for a long periods of time.

This reminds me of an old saying: "It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Then it becomes a game of find the eye."

Prank away! It's healthy to be able make humor out of your trauma/pain.

Warning the following trick is NSFL (not safe for lunch).

Penn & Teller have a trick where you secrete one of those small individual milk / creamer portion cartons into your left hand will taking fork with your right hand and start playing with it near your eye. Once you think everyone is watching you quickly lift your left hand with the creamer portion, paper lid outwards, and press it against your face near your eye while piercing the foil with your fork and squeezing the creamer. The white liquid apparently exuding from your eye along with fake cries of agony will get their full attention.

It might also work if you pierce the foil on the creamer in advance.

I will warn you that anyone who has suffered a traumatic eye injury may find it very disturbing and offensive.

It is described here https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/illusion-right-before-your-very-eyes-penn-and-teller-do-magic-but-the-real-trick-is-that-they-like-to-give-the-game-away-kevin-jackson-met-them-a3150871.html

You can also hear Pen & Teller describe it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HE744-_UX3Y

Take care and be kind to be people.

Scratch your eyeball that would freak me out if I didn't know they were glass lol

Is your eye actually glass? I didn't think they used glass much any more. Mine are acrilic.
Criptedinyourcloset [OP] 1 points 2y ago
Yeah, they are. I know they’re really uncommon. The next ones I get there will probably be something else and not glass. I’m not sure.

I have heard you have to be careful because the glass ones can sometimes break. Something tells me that would not be good.

I’d love to do this! That’s so funny, but taking mine out is a little traumatic and also not having it in hurts. Big sad. It’s pretty obvious when you take them out though, so I wouldn’t suggest putting them in food. Tapping a fork on them sounds great
