Researching phones for my visually impaired family member. please recommend (self.Blind)

Title mostly says it all. I am helping research for mobile devices for a family member of mine that is visually impaired and I suggested the use of AI assistance. For familiarity reasons it will likely be an android device.
I have used things like Okay Google and Alexa in the past but I've never needed to think about how a person who can't see well might have new challenges using technology. This person is also from an older generation and it's very important that If I pick a phone the AI assistant will be well designed and helpful for them. They have at best mild computer experience.

Just get an iPhone.

Yeah.
IPHONEs are much better for blind.
I used android before.

The iPhone has an intuitive navigation process. Its a matter of learning finger gesters and your family member will be set, along with the screen reader Voice Over.

I’m visually impaired and have an iPhone. Boyfriend is totally blind and uses an iPhone and rarely uses his Android.
I feel the iPhones have better accessibility features than an Android.

What details do you want iphones have voice over on them. I am also blind and have a ton of apple products. Iphone, ipad, apple watch. I have 2 of those, thinking of buying two new ipads I am typing on one currently and giving this one to mum. I love my macs.

Just get any midrange android phone from AliExpress and it'll do the job.

Iphones is wonderful, I have all three speakers but nothing will beat an iphone or tablet.
