First aid for blind and visually impaired (self.Blind)
submitted by Tal-Hab
What first aid items or kits do blind and visually impaired people rely on (like braille packaged band-aids for example), and how well do they generally work for you? Do you find it easy to use common first aid kits and items?

The same one? Works well.

I use the same package. It's easy to distinguish the different items by feel. I'm not sure how well adding braille would work, or how widespread this could become. If it's just a package from some online store you could order just to have braille on the bandaid then it's not worth it, as I could prolly get the same package for cheaper at my local drug store and just differentiate the items by feel. If it was standardised on all kits it'd be a different story.

Right, it's something that could be regulated.

The obvious difference is that I have a box of single use saline solution bottles to clean my eyes with and lots of very soft tissues. Then again, those are handy for anybody.
