Don’t trust your friends when they set you up on a date and when you ask for them a description they tell you he’s handsome. I can’t see much but I saw enough to know they were lying

I’m visually impaired and my mom is totally blind. When I was very young, no one was really too sure the extent of my lack of vision, not even me. I was a small child with no frame of reference. I could however, see enough to get around on my own and find onjects and read some stuff. Sometimes my mom would ask me what was happening on the screen during a part in a movie, or TV show with no dialogue and I would tell her what I saw. Half the time I was way off as to what was actually going on because like I said, I still have a visual impairment. When other people saw this happening, they just assumed I was trolling my mom.

Asked for help in the grocery store once. I was helped very politely for what I was looking for. I changed my mind though and out the item back, also knowing I had been told there were several. Well, being indecisive I decided I did want it after all, but to my surprise, the person I asked for help this time told me it was not in stock! I asked if she was sure and felt the shelf to make sure I didn't find an empty spot as I do have some vision. Nope. I mentioned I had just gotten help and there were several, she got rude and told me she worked for the stocking company, of which I was not asking for product from so it wasn't her responsibility!

Not me, but to a friend of mine who’s blind. we were at Walmart and we had an assistive shopper. My friend; let’s call him Mike, asked for a pack of Mountain Dew. So the shopper put a 12 pack in the cart. Me, someone who has some vision left, saw that it said diet; which is what Mike didn’t ask for. I asked the assistive shopper, let’s call him Dave, if he grabbed regular or diet. Dave told us it was regular. So after Mike bought it and we went to our school’s apartment, he took a sip and realized it was diet… not regular.

Usually things are good if I think it’s wrong I’ll ask someone else but usually people do things okay.
