I have hallucinations that differ from one eye to the other: In my left eye I hallucinate as if I could still see the world around me, although the images I see seem sharp, they feel like peripheral vision. In my right eye I see white clouds on a black background, sometimes coming from places where I know there's a light source, such as from my computer's screen. These hallucinations began during the process of losing vision, as if the brain was attempting to improve the little stimuli that was coming from my eyes. I remember, for example, having the impression that I could see in pitch darkness, which I knew wasn't possible because my vision in normal light conditions was dimming progressively.
