Fundraising to create a podcast player for the visually impaired (self.Blind)

I'm doing a $1 to build a custom hardware project to play podcasts for my father who's developed macular and lost his sight.
I'm looking for ideas of how to get the word out about this and seeking advice on how to present/promote it.
Any suggestions on how I can do this better? Where to post to get more traction?

I'm sorry dude. They already exist. If your father uses and iphone he can use the ppodcasts app but if he wants something better, he can use the downcast app. If he wants a physical device, he can get the victor reader stream. It's a book reader and podcast player that is fully accessible. I hope this helps.
