I need help with making a podcast for my class (self.Blind)
submitted by Albarra-XVI
Hi everyone, I want to know if anyone has experience with podcast. I'm using JAWS 2021 and Windows 10, and I downloaded an audio program called Adobe Audition. I tried it, but it's not accessible. Any idea? Thanks.

How do you navigate Adobe Audition with screen reader? I'm using JAWS 2021 on windows 10. When I navigated on the menu bar, I had a hard time finding recording for audio, but I couldn't find it because buttons were not labelled. Any idea?

Audacity, Reaper or Goldwave are probably your best bets. Goldwave doesn't do multi-track, but often you don't really need that for a finished podcast and I like the simplicity of it's editing, it's very low-threshold but you can still get a lot done with it without having to learn a huge amount of keystrokes and concepts. I love Reaper, don'get me wrong, but it might be a little overkill for this.

Can you edit audio?

I don't have experience with either but I have had luck in setting up a Zoom meeting and recording myself then editing the audio on the backend.

How do you edit recording? Which app are you using to edit audio?

Reaper is a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) compatible with JAWS, among other screen readers. It’s great.

I second this. Reaper is amazing when it comes to accessibility. Just note that you need the OSARA add on for it to be accessible
