I was pretty much in your situation health-wise when I was your age, though I'm not sure whether you have any other issues besides diminished acuity, because there are issues much more disabling such as loss of contrast perception.

Anyway when I was your age I had pretty much accepted that I was different, just like I do now after going totally blind, and while I couldn't drive I was the only one with a stable job due to which I ended up abandoning high school. So while I was different, that didn't necessarily mean my situation was worse, quite the opposite in my opinion. While there were things others could do better than me there were also things that I could do better than them, and that's what I've always focused on.

I also never had problems finding jobs with 10% of acuity; as a matter of fact it was so easy for me to find jobs that I didn't even have to use the shotgun approach of sending hundreds of resumes hoping to receive a single invitation for an interview., and I had the fact of not having finished high school against me in addition to being disabled.

All of the above was, of course, before I went totally blind. While I've adapted to blindness, my process was and still is very slow, and I'm still trying to find ways to be an asset rather than a burden before I can even think of finding a job under these conditions.

I am sighted. so don't quote me ... but fuck them. fuck all of them.

driving I don't know... maybe write books. get rich. pay a driver to drive you in your Bentley.

Job: first responders as a whole are changing and dispatch is moving to having psychologists or a therapy responder to go out on non-violent calls or mental calls. maybe you and your bully end up in the same truck with him for cuts and scrapes. and you for de-escalating situations, recording vitals, communicating with different communities of mental health and physical conditions.

or become the top negotiator for the fbi.

or become dispatch itself and field calls with knowledge needed in all. all the first responding fields

Every human ever has had these phases. some more often and some less. some issues are deep and the scars stay for decades. some the phase amputates a piece of them.

Reading books helps me. Going to another world needs a clearer mind.

I will gladly read your short stories and donate to your Bentley fund when your book is done.

Just knowing that there will never be another me, and I'll also never have to deal with annoying drivers on the road like sited people do. And I won't have to think of things like color related things and all the different writing styles aren't needed either like printing and handwriting. Like I can do good things like make videos for YouTube and stuff like that, and I don't even need vision to do it. And I don't even know what vision is like, and honestly it sounds really not that interesting. Like I don't need to deal with all that, I'm good with an even number of sences
