Museum Accessibility (self.Blind)

Hi Everyone!

I will preface and say this is a SURVEY post. However, we have done over a semester of background research. It is part of the human factors engineering process to do surveys and interviews. We do value your feedback wholeheartedly. If you do not want to take the survey and just offer some comments please reply to this post!

Here is a little about the project:

A group of human factors engineers at Tufts University are working on a redesign for museum accessibility. Our project’s focus is a tactile exhibit that is geared towards making museums accessible for the visually impaired and engaging for all. We will explore a combination of techniques including converting 2D art to 3D, breaking down artist’s techniques into tactile elements, and tapping into additional senses, to create a museum experience that is educational and memorable.

We are eager to hear more from those who have lived experiences with visual impairments or a caregiver and how unengaging the traditional museum experience can be. Please click the link for a brief survey on the topic. The team would love to hear your insights and the insights!
