I'm only an occasional cane user, so I bought a slimline thinking it would be fine for my needs. It also had 7 sections, because I wanted to be able to fold it up to put in a small bag.
In short, I liked the handle and how lightweight it was, but found it to be too flimsy. After a few months, I bought their regular folding graphite cane instead.
They do seem to offer the regular cane in more sections now than they used to (maybe because of the new conical joints). I was able to get mine in 6 seconds, so it's still pretty compact, but way more stable.
I now keep the slimline in the glove compartment of our van in case I forget to bring my other one along and find myself in a situation where I need it. It's a lot better than nothing, but far from my first choice.
