Visual Rehabilitation Therapy Schooling/What to know? (self.Blind)
submitted by Iamheno
I’m (42M w/RP) currently exploring the option to return to school for a MA in VRT. For those who are legally blind, who’ve done so what advice do you have? What school did you choose and why? How did you select your internship locatio?

might be late to the party but my fiance went to Salus University for her masters for this. She finished but still struggling to take her certification exam. But they get info all the time on internship placements, they were the ones who notified her of an opening in NJ doing exactly this that led to a full time position with the state.

I saw this video yesterday about O&M training. It was about an O&M instructor describing what O&M is and what it is like to teach it. The quality is EXTREMELY bad but it was a very informative video. It gives more insight about working with blind childen more than anything but maybe you will find it helpful.
